The Meaning of the Cross

John 12:1-13

As Jesus’ public ministry comes to a close, He invites His hearers to understand the importance of the events about to occur.  The Cross, Jesus teaches, is His mission, the judgment of the world, and the pattern of God’s life.  There is no Christianity without the cross.  As we approach Holy Week, the Church invites us to follow Jesus through these events so that we can more fully know Him and understand His work in our lives.
