Brothers and Sisters, We are Debtors (Trinity Sunday)

Isaiah 6:1-8; Psalm 29; Romans 8:12-17; John 3:1-17
“Brothers and sisters, we are debtors,” writes St. Paul. Isaiah enters the throne-room of God, humbled by his massive debt and the love of God availed to him and the world. Nicodemus, on the other hand, struggles to understand how the gifts he has been given draw him towards new life in the God of Israel, whom Jesus reveals to be Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This Trinity Sunday we remember that God’s Triune life is made visible in the mission of Jesus and his Church.
