Philippians 2:5-11
march-28-2010
As we enter into Holy Week, the Church invites us to walk with Jesus through these mighty events. As we do, we not only engage the acts which brought us salvation, we learn a pattern of life and discover God’s glory and joy.

Philippians 3:4b-14
march-21-2010
As we approach Holy Week, St. Paul reminds us that the goal of this life is Christ Jesus. How do we receive the gifts of God in such a way that we can glory in Christ alone and not have confidence in the flesh? We must “know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the sharing of his sufferings. . .” So let’s fix our eyes on Christ, know the Holy Spirit’s power, and walk in the love of the Father. Strive for the goal, pressing on to make it our own, because Christ has made us his own.

Luke 15:11-32
march-14-2010
The Parable of the Prodigal Son is really about the love of a father with two lost sons. As the parable unfolds, we are meant to be overwhelmed by the Amazing Grace and love of our Heavenly Father even as we are challenged to be like Him and never cease seeking out the lost, that they, too, might be caught in the embrace of the Father’s gracious love.

Exodus 3:1-15
march-7-2010
Moses encounters the Burning Bush. Arrested by God’s glory and hearing the Lord’s voice, Moses receives the revelation of God’s Name. God’s identity is forever tied to Israel and to Jesus Christ. We can only know God as we become a part of God’s people, knowing what God has done in the past and how he promises to be with us in the future. During Lent, we are called to be those branches pruned in order to blaze forth with the glory, truth, grace, and love of God yet not be consumed.
