Worship at St. Paul's
Holy Communion is the principle act of our worship. All baptized Christians are invited to receive the bread and the wine. If you are not baptized, unsure if you were baptized, or if you would prefer not to receive the bread and wine, we encourage you to come to the altar rail for a blessing. It is also perfectly ok if you choose to remain in your pew. The "blue card" in the pews gives you a lot more information on how to receive Holy Communion.
What We Believe
- The Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the revealed Word of God
- The Nicene Creed is the sufficient statement of the Christian faith
- We affirm the necessity of the two Sacraments ordained by Jesus: Baptism and Holy Communion; and we recognize the Church's five optional sacramental rites of Confirmation, Ordination, Unction, Confession, and Holy Matrimony
- The historic succession of bishops, locally adapted to the needs of nations and people
An Outline of the Faith, also called The Catechism, can be found in the Book of Common Prayer on page 845. The Articles of Religion can be found in the Book of Common Prayer on page 867.
We are a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of San Joaquin which is a member of the Anglican Communion Network. Our bishop is The Rt. Rev. John-David Schofield.
